Highschool Footprints

This is a little tangent, but I feel like it needs to be expressed, where many people feel the same way. Highschool so far has been nothing but ordinary, and I feel like the whole reason being is not only where I go, the family like enviro, but practically it’s all about the footprints in your heart when it all comes down to it, your friends, of course! This year I have met my best friends, who consist of a dork like me, a sassy girl, like me at times, and a whole lot of love and friendship. When you look back, the grades won’t matter after all, because who you become outside of highschool is all about the setting you put yourself in, meaning your friends. So, the next two years will fly by quicker than ever, but hey, good times fly by like bugs, am I right?

This city

Chicago – otherwise named “Chi city, Chiraq” etc… Has several negative connotations related to it’s entirety. However, you can’t look over (literally) the skyline that attracts one of many eyes & tourists each day. A city that sucks you in, makes you feel like home as you wonder about the streets & alleys of our fellow city. It shows you how life can be so narrow, yet have so much depth. You can get the snowy amist in the winter, and the beautiful beach in the summer. And, a little bit of safehaven in fall & spring. Rooftop parties and dining in each night, the city of Chicago is sure to be an amazing landmark on the map. And no, this is not an advertisment for the city.

Health gone wrong

This is the first generation of children who are expected to live shorter lives than their parents. If we continue at our current rate, by the year 2050 one in three Americans will have diabetes, and in twenty years 95% of Americans will be obese or overweight. Holy cow! (no pun intended).
Now these are the words of a fellow blogger, so i apologize for the abrupt “oops this isn’t plagiarism remark”, but I must say the synopsis of the generation today’s health is nothing but short of this. The last statistic stated explains it all. Now do we stop now & act now, or stop later and act later? Well the answer is simply start now, but does the burger from Mcdonalds share the same mindology as you? …didn’t think so.

To get a guy; You have to think like a guy

Titled by the wise Words as well as published words from the lady herself, Giuliana Rancic. This candid qoute explains the love culture in today’s generation perfectly. Essentially, girls like to sit back & rather be approached than approach, but that’s the mentality that will never do you in. As Giuliana writes, thinking, approaching, loving like a guy may be your key to love. That is, the door to love. Which, is weird to think, but by all means so accurate. Without approaching a man first, if he has no approached you, you are showing absolutely no interest in pursuit for this lad, and quite frankly, men will not ideally pursuit themselves in a girl with no confidence, or social skills. So, in summary, Giuliana may have found the love of her life by opening the door first. “To get the guy, you have to think like the guy.”

Difference

The boring trap in this world today is full of foolish minds thinking it’s completely absent in the universe to be a little extrodinary, a little different. However, I disagree & I have a strong rebutal for it. For one, love yourself, you’re created to have a lot of you in everything you do, cheesy I know. Think about the opportunity with being yourself creates for yourself! And most importantly, embracing yourself can most importantly give you the eye for love

Pop Culture- what went wrong?

Pop culture – defined as a human trap of emotions and bullshit. Hypothetically that is not the real definition, but it is in my eyes and I hope to god in most of the populations eyes as well. What went wrong though? We shouldn’t assume that it’s the reality and pop stars iconic lives today that ruined it, because truthfully it is not. It’s the minds behind the screen and the beholder of the pen that ruin our love for pop culture. Look back into the Monroe, Hepburn days. The qoutes that were published were always positive, it truly radiated who they were as people. Perhaps, that’s why young girls today look up to those past times and admire their words. The future will look and turn their heads at what is published and fed to them from stars like Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, because the only nice things that are published about them is the racy photos that are portrayed in the pages of your US weekly. Find some sympathy and dump the ignorance you have for the celebrities of today, because it’s not them that’s wrong, it’s the people Behind the Screen.

Fashion vs. Personality

Now think for a second, go walk into your closet, and look around at your by all means extrordinary wardrobe.  Then, look into your mirror. Do the colors of your wardrobe match compatibly with the colors of your personality and depth soul? Today fashion is a frenzy and people are always trying to get the insider towards it. From Urban Outfitters campaign of straight hipster, boho style. To Victoria’s Secret risky and scandelous look, even looking into warmer days with the new hit Triangl bathing wear, do we really even show our personality like we used to be able to through fashion? Or are we trying to fit the in crowd stereotype and feel hipster like Kylie & Kendall. What truly is fashion today, and have we lost our souls to it?

Love don’t live here anymore

When the youth of today, which I realize I am well apart of, so better worded “my generation” uses the term “we’re talking”, “we’re a thing” or the big D word Dating, is it really Love, Lust or perhaps classified as nothing? The next time a young couple is out walking, stop and ask them “now do you know the difference between love or lust?” Perhaps you’ll get a blank stare, a runaway terror, or an abrupt No. Because the truth is, no one knows where love lives anymore

Since when did Blogging become “Out of Style?” -gianna gordon

Being a substantial obsesser with social media, technology, and the whole synopsis of the world connecting with one another through a phone screen, I have quickly come to the mindset that this kind of adaptation throughout our world is anything but impressive. For one, we are drowning our knowledge in senseless tweets, pictures and videos of our youth involving themselves in reckless and risky behaviors, which leads to further disasters awaiting to happen. Second and surely the most important reason to share this idea is that technology like even blogging is simply ruining our ideas, twisting them, and dumbing them down in just a few short words. Our ideas and mindset is the most precious thing we can hold onto, and yet all the world can talk and “tweet” about is the new “Common White Girl” tweet, or Kim Kardashian’s newest selfie. Whatever happened to our young youth waiting to see the newest comics in the Saturday morning newspaper, or the latest fashion in the magazines. It’s simply all turned into irrelevant thoughts in a short three word sentence on Social Media.
